In Spain the inequality of genders it’s a reality, we can see many cases where women are treated differently just because of their gender. It’s very common to see men catcalling things to girls in the street and also being inappropriate by touching them or masturbating in public places. Many times, when a woman is raped, people ask how she was dressed or what time was, because it’s very common to blame the victim or try to find an excuse. Last but not least more than 50% of these situations happen to girls around 17 years old. This situation has been normalized to the point that many girls don’t want or don’t feel safe reporting what happened just because they think that nobody it’s gonna believe them.
